The Department of Conservation operational team has scheduled a volunteer workday for track maintenance at Aongatete Forest. Keeping tracks in good condition enhances the enjoyment of all who use the forest, and this work day will include widening and improving the track surface. You’ll need to be reasonably fit but all equipment will be provided by the DOC team.

Everyone will receive a volunteer role description and a map for directions (meeting point will be at the forest car park at the top of Wright Road).  Registration is essential, so if you’re keen, get in touch with Nataalia Lunson, Community Ranger, Department of Conservation via email: nlunson@doc.govt.nz
