We need to do a round of Rodent Tracking Tunnel Index monitoring (RTIs) ahead of our impending summer baiting campaign. If you love an off-track walk in the forest, this is the task for you! It involves putting out 80 tracking cards lured with peanut butter across our forest, including two lines outside the pest managed area.
It’s a two day task – one to put cards out and the next (tomorrow) to collect them in – and a clear, rain free night. You can participate for just one morning or volunteer for both.
Wear clothing and footwear suitable for walking both on and off track. Arrive at the kohanga ready to go at 8:30 am, and enjoy a morning cuppa and a chat before you head home at 12 noon.
