Early winter means it’s planting time! This is VERY exciting, the kohanga paddock transformation is getting into top gear. Come and join us to help get 1000 young native shrubs and trees into the ground. The revegetation species have all been selected for their affinity to Aongatete forest.
Holes will already be pre-drilled, so careful handling of the juvenile plants and plenty of enthusiasm is all we need of our volunteers. Be on site at 8.30am for a briefing. Wear study footwear and gardening gloves. We’re sure with many pairs of hands it won’t take too long, and a hot cuppa and delicious baking will be waiting for morning tea.
Should the weather be a bit rubbish, we will postpone until Sunday June 13th.
