WINTER BAIT CAMPAIGN Phase 2 – ‘DoubleTap’ retreival. In pellet form, this bait has been designed to be fast acting, low residue and target both rats and possums. If it was going to be eaten, it will have been by now. Time to clear the forest of any remaining toxin.  You’ll be making a note of what’s been eaten as you go – the data is important. All hands on deck to get our 500ha covered!

Meet 8.30am at the kohanga. Clothing and footwear should be suitable for walking off track, plus bring a backpack, gloves, a waterproof layer (just in case) and carry a full bottle of water. We’ll provide you with a map and instructions for your bait line. Enjoy a hot drink, lively chat and some baked treats once you’re back out of the bush 🙂 New volunteers very welcome – we’ll pair you up with an experienced person.
